I am an engineer currently working at the Hydro-Quebec Research Institute. I worked at the materials characterization laboratory for more than then years. My main task was to develop microstructural characterization techniques for battery materials used in electric vehicules. I created software applications used to automate tests done on a scanning electron microscope. I also designed many image analysis algorithms to evaluate the quality of the microstructure of batteries fabricated at the Institute.
I am now working at the robotics department. I do software development on the applications used to remotely control the LineScout. LineRanger and LineCore robots. These robots are used to inspect the thousand of kilometers of power lines that cover the province.
